Belgian industrial producer Yannick Franck talks to Public Pressure about his views on spirituality, the message at the core of his project ‘Wreck The Bloodline’ under the pseudonym Raum.
I do believe in transcendence, though not in a theistic context per se. That we don’t only have a body, a mind or even a soul, but also a spirit. And this spirit is the highest entity, much more important than we are as people.
It is not a cool or fashionable idea, and at times it makes my life harder because it’s often mixed up with bigotry or new age. Which are just part of the same all-ruling fundamentalist materialism. But most of the time, it gives meaning and direction to my life and helps me move towards a greater sense of inner unity, more integrity.
