Two releases from label Beach Impediment Records designed for people who like their songs short and loud. From two-piece Stigmatism comes a self-titled EP whose longest song is still under two minutes. Described as ‘an infatuation with and/or an astute observation of the more, dare I say, “early man” aspects of the first wave of NYHC’, this is exactly the record you think it’s going to be.

The same is true for Surrounded from Pittsburgh punks Blood Pressure. They’ve been out of the studio for a couple of years but haven’t lost any of their hardcore appeal.

Both albums can be downloaded through Bandcamp, with a limited run of vinyl available for collectors. The online presence for both bands is patchy AF (that’s punks for you), but this label is one worth watching.
