Newcomer Mason Hilliah has self-released his debut single ‘Grey’, a snapshot of his development and what is to come on the mic. As his tones would suggest, Hilliah hails from a Southern town near London where he was brought up on Jay-Z and 50 Cent classics, on top of the ever-inspiring vocals of Sade and Lauryn Hill.

Looking to carry these sounds into his own, Hilliah has been working with Clinton McCreery, previously of Jorja Smith and Kofi Stone, to find a comfortable balance between Hip hop and UK Rap, helped and nurtured by his mic-sharing with scene-staples Chip, Krept & Konan and Akala.

‘Grey’ discovers the wild in the ordinary as our emcee ventures out from his hometown; check out his new video, out today.
