French Techno label Tripalium Corp’s latest release is refreshingly original. Yung Acid’s Роза Паук, meaning Rose Spider when translated from the original Russian, is a hip-hop and rave influenced mutant techno beast. The rose and spider references are heavily featured from the tracks ‘Pale Rose’ and ‘Sick Spider’ to the simple but effective cover art by Jeune Allain.
All manner of peculiar samples are utilised on the record (including one that had me constantly checking if someone had just slammed a nearby door), and the result is an erratic and exciting listen that doesn’t disappoint. Limited Edition cassettes, which look totally epic in jet black with an all-white (bar the cover art) case, are still available via the label’s Bandcamp.
