This is going to be great: the Dark Daze Festival in Leeds on Saturday is bringing together acts including Cattle, Japanese Television, Something Leather and lots more. Tickets are limited so best to get yours now.

Start November properly with a night of free live music at the Shacklewell Arms on Friday. Roadkill Records are releasing a limited edition of Muertos rarities, and the psych demons will be joined by Mangö, No Me Coman and The Dead Zoo. There’s also a guest DJ appearance from The Sly Persuaders to round out the night.

SPQR bring their unique brand of art-rock to Jimmy’s in Manchester on Sunday. Support from Sweet Deals on Surgery and The Demo.

Whether you’re celebrating Halloween or just trying to drink your way through the most recent Brexit deadline, you could do worse than heading to the Sebright Arms on Thursday. Music from Madonnatron, Sleep Eaters and Gentle Stranger, plus DJ slots from Goat Girl, Dead Boys Disco and Spilt Milk. And it’s free. Wear fancy dress.

Alternatively, see in November at The Victoria with LegPuppy, Down From Above, Dismembered Sound Booth and Broken God.

Keep the Halloween spirit going on Friday at the Amersham Arms, as Fake Turins are joined by FloodHounds, The Novus, The Kaizens and Caiine.

Junodef are part of the line up at the Windmill Brixton on Sunday, alongside upcoming German band Hope and trip-hop artists FVRmind.
