After forming just a year ago “over a buck’s fizz binge in Birmingham”, basement duo Cherry Pickles have released their debut album, Cherry Pickles Will Harden Your Nipples.

Brazilian Priscila and Mimi B are not the most technically skilled of musicians, but a focus on that is kinda missing the point. With their thrift store instruments (one guitar, two drums – what damn more do you need?) and gung-ho attitude that can only come from a land chock full of Catholic guilt, the pair describe their music as “wrong-sounding but infectious one-minute-garage-pop with gusto”.

Released, weirdly, on Swedish label PNKSLM Recordings, you can watch the video for distorted ’50s pop-inspired single ‘It Will All End In Tears’ below:
