Stevenage punks Bad Breeding start a short tour with Uniform on Sunday 21 July at The Crofters Rights in Bristol. Shows include Kingston Upon Hull, Leeds, Cardiff and London, but that’s your lot for the time being.
Fuzzy AF Sixth Edition is coming to the Engine Rooms on Saturday, with music from The Sly Persuaders, ARXX, Dirty White Fever and more. Free entry.
The Deptford All Day Mix Up Vol #1 has a long name but a strong lineup to justify it, inc. Sisteray, The Gulps and HAWXX. Tickets are cheaper in advance so get on it.
Fake Turins have a show on Tuesday at the Windmill Brixton with Rattletooth and eachOne.
Japanese Television launch their EP on Wednesday at The Waiting Room. Support comes from Nuha Ruby Ra, Nothingheads and Human Pet DJing so should be a great night.
If you like your rock with a side of surfy psychedelia, Portsmouth Guildhall is hosting Strange Cages, Emptifish and Number 9 on Friday.
Truckfest is sold out already, but if you’re going, take the time to check out The Gulps, Beach Riot, Cassels and False Advertising as well as the bigger names like Slaves.
Farmfest might sound like the least inspiring festival of the season, but there are some decent acts to look out for, including She Drew the Gun and Heavy Lungs. I would still approach with caution.
Another festival with pretty much the same lineup, Y Not? is also on this week. I don’t like festivals. However, if you do, this one features Sports Team, Hotel Lux, Dancehall, and other things that are good, so maybe it won’t completely suck.
Are you fucking kidding me? There’s even a Livestock Festival. There’ll be a Cow Insemination Festival next year. Noise Noir are gonna be there, bless ‘em. (At Livestock, I mean, not my imaginary new circle of Hell fest)
