My name is Mike Robert(aka Casper) I’m an artist/producer/songwriter based in Hertfordshire. I come from a musical background to an extent, my Dad plays guitar/keys, and my brother plays those instruments as well as drums which is his main instrument. It started from church and my home setting; I was raised on my dad’s music which set the tone for my musical ear currently. Ranging from soul to acid jazz, my own interest formed with electronic/hip hop/neo soul pieces. I was inspired to use a semi pro software called magix music maker after seeing my Dad and brother produce on it. I officially started making my own beats at 9 and stopped using the software around 13. I began to play drums in church after years of seeing my brother play and I was taking music for gsce in yr9 so playing the instrument that I was practicing made sense. It was short lived, but it helped me with rhythm and keeping time. Shortly after, I began messing around with freestyling in school which led to me writing lyrics down when I got to college. I used to write nearly every day and rap to myself in the bathroom. I wrote for 3 years until I officially heard myself in the studio, it sounded terrible, but it was a learning curve. By 2020 I took up producing again and I started to make songs properly with me rapping over my own productions.
