Jot Maxi

Passionate about searching for and exposing truth, Jot Maxi started out writing street-level truths as an MC for radio DJ sets and live events alongside groups such as Grime music pioneers ”. Although, music career goals were greatly halted by the suicide of Jot’s mother when he was aged 24, which sent him deeper into pre-existing battles with addiction and alcoholism. In 2017, Jot Maxi was asked to front the critically acclaimed British Rap-Metal band ” having previously featured on their first album ”. This saw Jot lyrically take on more societal and political truths, whilst consistently touring overseas and working on the band’s second studio album: ”. With new perspective following a near death experience brought on by an overdose, and after seeing how fickle and toxic the music industry can be behind the curtains, Jot decided that this particular path was far from what he really wanted from not only life as a musician, but from life at all. Since his departure from the band in 2023, and now driven by a devout faith in God, Jot Maxi is writing and releasing solo material that addresses a more spiritual truth, the ultimate truth of why we exist on this earth. Infusing his genre-hopping voice, Jot now focuses on two main musical avenues: One is purely high-energy contemporary rap, and the other is more experimental lyrical electronica, with sounds that could be described as post-modern, after-future or dystopian.
